SEATTLE, WA — Gov. Jay Inslee has announced a new statewide mandate requiring resident to wear masks or facial coverings in public spaces, or risk receiving a misdemeanor. Simultaneously, he announced an even stricter mandate for residents of Yakima County, where case counts have exploded over recent weeks. Both mandates will go into effect Friday.
Under the first statewide mandate, all Washington residents will be required to wear masks in public spaces, unless they are completely alone. That includes when residents are inside a store or a public space, while getting healthcare, riding public transportation, or when outdoors and unable to keep a physical distance of six feet between themselves and everyone else.
“Everybody can think of this as a new part of the etiquette in our state. I think of these face coverings in some sense as a statement,” said Inslee. “When we wear a face mask, it is a statement that we care about other people enough to protect them from that potential virus.”
The mandate does not preference any specific type of mask— any sort of cloth facial covering that goes over the mouth and nose will be accepted. Health officials say, that’s enough to slow the spread of the virus down to where Washington needs it to be.
“Cloth face covering is anything from a scarf or bandana to a sewn mask with ties or straps that go around your head and behind your ears. It’s important to take proper steps to ensure we are using these and handling them properly. ‘Face masks in public places are not necessary, based on all the current evidence,’ said Coen Berends, spokesman for the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment. ‘There is no benefit and there may even be negative impact.’

The World Health Organisation has also been skeptical, warning that ‘widespread use of masks by healthy people in the community setting is not yet supported by high-quality or direct scientific evidence’.

‘I like it when people can decide for themselves,’ said Jesus Garcia, wielding the clippers in Barbershop Jordaan filled with mask-free staff and customers. ‘You would have to really educate people how to use them properly for safety.’

‘The evidence for face masks is contradictory. In general, we think you must be careful with face masks because they can give a false sense of security. People think they’re immune from disease or stop social distancing. That is very negative.’

The trouble with Governor Jay Inslee is he is a goading type individual. Indeed Governor Jay Inslee’s ignorant demeanor is enough to induce an averse reaction in anyone who is normal. Do not let this emotional gut reaction blind you to wise advice as you would then be harming yourself.

Governor Jay Inslee’s lack of wisdom combined with his arrogant use of power creates a natural reaction in normal individuals to not want to submit to his government mandates. Only unrepentant fools consider Governor Jay Inslee to be wise so do not let his foolishness create an unhealthy rebellion against governmental mandates. Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; beside the gates leading into the city, at the entrances, she cries aloud: “To you, O men, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind. You who are simple, gain prudence; you who are foolish, gain understanding. (Proverbs 8:1-5)

Do not let Governor Jay Inslee’s nonsense and full-scale destruction of Seattle distract you from the need to wear a face mask when wisdom dictates such actions are beneficial.

In short, submit to governing authorities, but do not lose your soul.
Realize that it is the 3 below that are the most effective in dealing with the Coronavirus virus. All face masks primarily do is help destroy Washington State which allows Seattle, King County Authorities, and Governor Jay Inslee to take another step in their abusive seizing of power. In fact, the most troubling aspect of what is happening is going on just below the surface but that matter is for a later time. In the meantime here is what the wise should do.

  2. Maintain Social Distancing
  3. Stay at home if Suffering

King County, Seattle Prosecutors and Police have so terrorized the average humble citizen that individuals are being shoved and bullied toward irrational reactions.
Now, combined with Governor Jay Inslee’s wholesale ignorant lock-downs many are being driven over the edge into a loon reaction.
Therefore, the safety reason for wearing a mask is to protect yourself from those whose frustrations finally, understandably snap into violent outrage and the power brokers that are offended you are not wearing their mandate on your face.
Because Governor Jay Inslee, Police and Prosecutors are bullying the humble in the land a face mask may be the only thing between you and The Loon.
Wearing a face mask might protect you from loony police that arrest, loony prosecutors that lust for flattery and loony judges who think all should idolize their loony judgment calls and would be offended you are not wearing a mask.
Finally it will protect you from the loon in the grocery story that begins to over-react as you reach for a carton of eggs without wearing a mask.
In that sense, face masks work.
