Fool Awards
Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool in his folly. (Proverbs 17:12)
We are born ignorant fools but we do not have to exit this world that way. Since being a fool is a sin we can repent of folly and be made wise by the Living God. Becoming wise is no comfortable process and only those who are willing to be rebuked by Wisdom will become wise.
Therefore before you state that you would like to be a wise person it is best to ask yourself How much rebuking can I take? Because only those who “respond” to God’s rebukes are given real wisdom, knowledge and discernment. All others remain fools to one degree or another.
- If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you. (Proverbs 1:23)
There are many who are wise by the standards of the world, but be warned, you will never understand Jesus, God and the Universe until you are willing to become a fool.
- Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness” ; and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” (1 Corinthians 3:18-20)
In conclusion both the fool and the so-called wise of the world need to understand that wisdom, living knowledge and truth comes only from listening to the Living God “talk” with his mouth. For it is only the Lord who gives by His power wisdom.

The Winner
Barb Byrum, a Democrat, said it’s a felony to take illegal possession of absentee ballots and since her voters are idiots they do not know the difference between a toilet and voting mailbox.
No wonder Democrat Barb Byrum is so upset these were her fools that voted such a fool in office.
Now if only we could get Ingham County to plant decoy voting toilets around the city so that anyone stupid enough to place their ballot in the commode automatically gets their vote flushed.
Such would be a real act of wisdom.
- Backstory
What happens when an elected official is upset at your art? They just might try to restrict your first amendment rights. Democrat Barbara Byrum was on her way to work as county clerk of Ingham County in Michigan when she saw a toilet in someone’s yard with “Place Mail in Ballots Here!” on a sign above with an arrow pointing to the toilet below. Although you may chuckle at this political satire, Barbara Byrum felt this was no laughing matter. In fact, she deemed the joke as grounds to press charges on the unsuspecting homeowner (who wishes to remain anonymous) expressing their first amendment right. Many Americans, including County Prosecutor Carol Sieman, perceive the homeowner’s display as simply a political statement in the form of artwork. However Byrum not only stated that “It is a felony to take illegal possession of an absentee ballot,” but also that “Elections in this country are to be taken seriously and there are many people who are voting by mail for the first time this election.” Byrum later further cited the recent attacks on mail-in voting by the President Donald Trump as the reasoning behind her attempt to press charges on this artistic display.
Voting by mail has become a partisan issue in the 2020 election with many Republicans standing by the President’s criticism of mail-in ballots, while a large number of Democrats deem the option as essential during a global pandemic. Trump has repeatedly stated he believes mail-in voting is extremely susceptible to fraud and that allowing it could lead to the election being spoiled by illegal ballots. However, Byrum defends her claim that voting by mail is the safest way for people to vote in the upcoming election. Despite the hesitations about mail-in voting, it is believed that up to 2 million people could cast their ballot via the mail in Michigan, a key toss-up state this election.
Funny enough, this isn’t the first time Barbara Byrum has made it into the spotlight as a politician (muddled) in a first amendment controversy in recent years. Byrum and fellow representative Lisa Brown were banned from addressing the Michigan’s House of Representatives after Lisa Brown was muzzled by the Speaker due to stating, “Mr. Speaker, I’m Flattered that you’re all so interested in my vagina, but ‘no’ means ‘no.’” This event was later deemed the “Vaginagate” and representative Brown was prohibited from speaking on the floor for violating the decorum of the house. Representative Barbara Byrum followed this event by introducing an amendment to a pro-life bill that would ban men having vasectomies unless the procedure was needed to save their lives. The majority floor leader did not allow her to discuss her proposed amendment on the floor, which resulted in it being quickly voted down. (The pro-life bill was eventually passed by a vote of 70 to 39). Representatives Brown and Byrum argued this was just another attempt to silence women with blatant misogyny by the republicans of the house, while the republicans argued it was because they were unable to maintain the decorum of the house. Ultimately, it seems ironic that Byrum was upset about the censorship of her usage of the word vagina on the house floor, yet she wants to censor a citizen’s political commentary on their own private property.
While Vaginagate may have been divided by partisanship, in this instance it should be clear to all, regardless of political affiliation, that Byrum’s actions against the homeowner was an inappropriate abuse of her position of power. Byrum was offended by a joke made by one her constituents and decided to take the situation a step too far by punishing someone for simply expressing their first amendment rights. County prosecutor Carol Siemon, who is also a democrat, disagreed with Byrum, stating the display was “an effort to make a humorous political statement” and not an egregious attempt to violate the law and prevent people from voting. Siemon did not file any charges against the homeowner who chose to partake in some political – by A.N.
